|The Admiral was badge motor made by Blakely in 1914-1915.
The Admirlal antique outboard motor looked like the Blakely straight leg outboard motor except that it lacked the tag on the back of the tank and in its place there was a decal on the side. Look at the skeg and the underwater exhaust.
I have never seen one of these motors although I have seen the Blakely version.
Roger Dykehouse has recently uncovered the fact that Mr. Blakely, who took part in early row boat motor races, owned a boat named "Admiral". A tidy connection, don't you think?
