This c.1915 Federal is one of the most interesting examples of outboard engineering from the teens. It was an opposed twin with a gear driven magneto an odd tilting mechanism and an even more unusual method of steering (see pictures). This example also has the optional underwater exhaust. As row boat motors go they don't get much more interesting than this. |
