The Caille Commodore Model No. 32 is a two cylinder two cycle engine weighing 65 pounds complete. The cylinders are directly opposed and both fire at the same time which eliminates all vibration.

The bore and stroke of the machine is 2 1/2 by 2 inches, giving a piston displacement of 19.63 cubic inches which classes the motor in class B, according to the racing rules.
It is controllable at speeds ranging from 400 to 5000 revolutions per minute and will deliver 12 horsepower at top speed.

The use of special aluminum alloys in various parts have dome considerable in reducing the weight of such parts as its cylinders, crank case castings, tanks, frame and similar parts.
The crank shaft is of Chrome nickel steel 3/4 inch in diameter with a ground finish. The main bearings are of phosphor bronze and 2 1/2 inches long. The drive shaft and propeller shaft are made of stainless steel which will protect it from corrosion.

The water circulation is forced through the jackets by the action of a scoop and the action of the propeller. The engine is pivoted on the main frame which permits the propeller and shaft to tilt over submerged obstructions.
