The Admiral was badge motor made by Blakely in 1914-1915. The Admiral rowboat motor looked like the Blakely straight leg outboard motor except that it lacked the tag on the back of the tank and in its place there was a decal on the side. Look at the skeg and the underwater exhaust. GO HERE to view the Blakely straight leg outboard motor. I have never seen one of these motors although I have seen the Blakely version. Roger Dykehouse has recently uncovered the fact that Mr. Blakely, who took part in early row boat motor races, owned a boat named "Admiral".
