Burroughs Rowboat Motor Company

Jack had never seen one, but he thought these news blurbs seem to indicate a company under this name existed long enough for a motor to be in some barn with the Burroughs name on it.

Then along comes the motor photographed below! Jack and the motor's owner agreed it was a Burroughs based on its lower unit and rudder matching the patent drawings. Plus, Peter Hunn said the the cast in name, Time Mfg. Co., was an indication it was a Burroughs.

First, it seems to have been the Racine Motor Oars Company in 1913.

By 1915 the company name is incorporated as the Burroughs Rowboat Motor Company of Racine.

Then, in 1915...

After a year and a half they are looking to move to Merrill, Wisconsin.
