McLachlan

An English motor from 1898. Wouldn't it be great to find a photo of it being used!!!

While I can't access the patents (not online) the British patent #5,580 was issued in 1893, then another #7,267 in 1897.

I am guessing at least one of the major difference in the patents is McLachlan's later inclusion of motor cars in the uses of his invention. E. A. Mclachlan seems to be a man interested in exploring the new technologies, moving from the detachable electric boat motor into electric bicycles and cars.
