"Here is the big Wisconsin. My god it's huge and VERY difficult to lift and move around. Here is part of a long story, full story to come later.
Gene and I decided one day to take our OLD motors to display at some RIVER festival shows in 1998. It was fall and of course these shows had crafts, old hit and miss engines, etc...
During the day I saw this old fellow REALLY studying my Ferro. I went up and just stood behind the motor and he asked if it was mine. I told him yes. He then went on to say he had one KIND OF LIKE this one. He said it was a Wisconsin, and that he would like it to go to a good place where it would be fixed up etc...
I took his name and info and he left. At that time I had a standard battery ignition Wisconsin with no rudder. I didn't WANT another Wisconsin (how dumb). So I told Gene all the info over the phone a few days later and told him to go buy it.
He calls me two days later laughing. He said he did get the Wisconsin. He then said, your going to be mad (he was laughing), it's a 3.5 Model AND I bought it for $50.00!!!" |
