Koban didn't seem to use many different images in ads then, unlike Evinrude.

<The ad to the left shows the early '14 version identified by 3 unique major features:

•Finned heads
•Gearcase shape, & •Transom bracket design.

The early version is shown here, but the later version motor was already out by May of 1914 when this was published.
